We have always been in the business of solving other people's computer problems. We specialise in developing high quality business software and web sites, which we can design to meet your exact requirements. Whether your needs are large or small, we can offer a personalised service, and will work with you to create the bespoke solutions that you need for your business.

We also provide IT services to small businesses, such as PC & network installation and support, internet connection, email servers, routers, firewalls and network security.

We can recommend and/or supply suitable systems for your business - and we won't tell you to buy anything you don't need! We have experience supplying and installing everything from a new printer to whole networks running Windows, with full internal & external email systems, and internet access over broadband connections.

A Little History...

James Fortune Associates was founded by James Fortune in the early 1980s to provide much-needed computer expertise to local businesses at a time when many small firms were looking to computerise for the first time.

Since then, JFA have been writing bespoke software for small businesses and large corporations alike. Our first job was to write a marketing program for a multinational company who had just bought one of the first IBM PCs in Microsoft BASIC. We have used numerous computer languages and tools, including Omnis3, Omnis7, Turbo Pascal and Visual Basic, until finally settling on SoftVelocity's CLARION in the late 1980s.

Stephen Bennett joined JFA after completing his B.Eng. honours degree in Electronic Computer Systems at Salford University in 1991. James now takes a back seat, concentrating more on his long-standing passion as a working magician and entertainer (see James's website at www.magicfun.co.uk).
